Characteristics and condition of Tsumugi | Used and recycled kimonos
This is a hand-woven tsumugi kimono that can be worn as everyday wear or around town.
Ryukyu Kasuri is a type of fabric woven in Okinawa Prefecture, characterized by designs incorporating approximately 600 species of Okinawa's flora and fauna and nature.
When dyeing the thread, a time-consuming method is used in which the pattern is dyed by hand, one section at a time, based on a design, and when it comes to weaving, the traditional method is used, with artisans hand-weaving 1-2 meters per day.
This tsumugi can be worn with a wide range of obi, including half-width obi, Nagoya obi, and fukuro obi.
We recommend this item as it can be worn in a wide range of casual situations, such as for town wear, short outings, theater, and dinner parties.
There is a small brown stain on the back of the collar. It will not be visible once the kimono is on, but please check before purchasing.
Other than that, there are no stains or noticeable dirt, and the basting threads are still attached, so it can be used as a reused item.
The overall color is closest to what you see in the photo, but it may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
