Features and Condition of the Yukata | New Kimono
This Arimatsu Shibori yukata is perfect for festivals and summer sightseeing spots.
"Arimatsu Narumi Shibori" has been produced in the Arimatsu-Narumi area of Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, since the Edo period.
Shibori dyeing can create a wide variety of patterns depending on how the fabric is tied, sewn, and pleated.
It is said that there are over 100 types of tying methods, and about 70 types are still passed down as techniques today.
This diverse pattern expression is one of the charms of Arimatsu Shibori.
This yukata has a beautiful brown gradation.
The large white floral pattern is also very charming.
It would be stylish to coordinate it like a dress by pairing it with an obi in a similar brown tone or greige color. When doing so, don't forget to add a slight accent using an obi clip or decorative cord.
I also think coordinating it with a natural-colored heko obi would create a gentle and sweet atmosphere.
Another charm of shibori yukata is that it can be worn as a daytime kimono by pairing it with a nagajuban (long undergarment) and tabi socks.
During the hot summer months, please wear it with items that help you stay cool, such as an usotsuki juban (mock juban) or lace tabi socks.
As this is a new product, it is in excellent condition.
