This obidome is hand-carved, made with genuine lacquer and pure silver maki-e.
Makie is a technique developed in Japan in which gold, silver, or platinum powder is sprinkled onto black lacquer to depict the changing scenery of the seasons, such as flowers, birds, the moon, and the wind.
The matcha-green (Nae-iro) flowers (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) make for an impressive and striking obidome.
This is a casual obi fastener, and the width of the metal fitting is a little wide at 1.3 cm, so it will be more stable if you use a 4-quarter cord rather than a 3-quarter cord.
The yobun-himo is the same as the sanbun-himo, and is a special obi-jime for attaching an obi-dome.
It is thinner and finer than a normal obijime, and is also shorter in length.
Also, since there are no tassels on the ends, they do not get in the way when threading the obi-jime.
It is recommended to coordinate with fashionable clothing such as komon and tsumugi, as well as casual kimonos.
It comes in a box, so it's also recommended as a gift.
