Characteristics and condition of Komon | Used and recycled kimonos
This is a small crest made by Ise Katagami carver Nanbu Yukio (his father is Nanbu Yoshimatsu, a leading expert in Ise Katagami and a Living National Treasure).
This is a very stylish and unique kimono with a basket-weave vegetable pattern dyed into the crepe fabric using stencil dyeing.
If you choose a light-colored obi such as white or cream, it will create a gentle look. At first glance, it is hard to tell that the pattern is made of vegetables, so it would be fun to wear it with a vegetable obi fastener.
When matching with a dark colored obi, it is a good idea to keep the obijime and obiage slightly lighter to create a lighter look and avoid making it look too heavy.
You can also enjoy a variety of obi, including fukuro obi, Nagoya obi, and half-width obi.
There are dirt and small stains on the collar and upper front of the lining.
Although this part will not be visible once the kimono is put on, please check before purchasing.
There are no stains or dirt on the outer surface, making this a product that can be fully enjoyed as a reused item.
