This is an Arimatsu-shibori yukata that can be worn at festivals and summer tourist spots.
Arimatsu Narumi Shibori has been produced in the Arimatsu/Narumi area of Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture since the Edo period.
Tie-dyeing can create a variety of patterns by changing the way the fabric is tied, sewn, and pleated.
It is said that there are over 100 types of "Kukuri," and currently around 70 types are handed down as techniques.
This diversity of pattern expression is one of the charms of Arimatsu shibori.
This yukata has a beautiful purple gradation.
The fan pattern, which is made using orange and blue colors, is impressive.
This is definitely something to wear with a mature feel.
Pair it with a beige or ecru obi for a soft look. A purple obi with light and dark shades or a pale blue obi would also look good. Pair it with a mustard-colored obi for a crisp, cool look.
Another attractive feature of the shibori yukata is that it can also be worn as a daytime kimono when paired with a nagajuban (undergarment) and tabi (socks).
During the hot summer months, we recommend wearing it with items that will help keep you a little cooler, such as a false undergarment and lace tabi socks.
As this is a brand new item, it is in very good condition.
