Features and Condition of the Yukata | New Kimono
This is an Arimatsu Shibori yukata that can be worn for festivals and summer tourist destinations.
"Arimatsu Narumi Shibori" has been produced in the Arimatsu and Narumi regions of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture since the Edo period.
Shibori dyeing can express a wide variety of patterns by how the fabric is tied, sewn, and pleated.
It is said that there are over 100 types of "tying" techniques, and about 70 types are still passed down today.
This diverse pattern expression is one of the charms of Arimatsu Shibori.
This yukata features a beautiful purple gradation.
The fan pattern, dyed using orange and blue, is striking.
This piece is definitely recommended for those who want to achieve a sophisticated look.
Pair it with a beige or ecru-colored obi for an elegant feel. An obi that plays on the shades of purple, or a light blue one would also be lovely. If you pair it with a mustard-colored obi, you can create a sharp and cool atmosphere.
Another appeal of shibori yukata is that it can be worn as a daytime kimono by pairing it with a nagajuban (undergarment) and tabi socks.
During the hot summer months, please wear it with items that help you stay cool, such as a usotsuki-juban (mock nagajuban) or lace tabi socks.
As this is a new product, it is in excellent condition.
