Features and Condition of the Yukata | New Kimono
This is an Arimatsu Shibori yukata that can be worn for festivals and summer sightseeing spots.
“Arimatsu Narumi Shibori” has been produced in the Arimatsu-Narumi area of Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, since the Edo period.
Shibori dyeing can express a variety of patterns depending on how the fabric is tied, sewn, and pleated.
It is said that there are over 100 types of "tying" techniques, and about 70 of them are still passed down as skills today.
This diverse pattern expression is one of the charms of Arimatsu Shibori.
This yukata is a slightly rare color with a fan and flower pattern shibori-dyed on a deep green ground.
For a neat look, how about a light-colored obi such as white or beige, with a mustard-colored ornamental cord?
For a casual atmosphere, a yellow-系的obi would be good.
Coordinating with a pink or rose-colored obi would also be lovely.
Another charm of shibori yukata is that they can be worn as daytime kimono by pairing them with a nagajuban (undergarment) and tabi (socks).
During the hot summer months, please wear it with items that help you stay cool, such as a usotsuki-juban (mock nagajuban) or lace tabi.
As this is a new product, it is in excellent condition.
