Features and Condition of Obijime and Obiage Set｜Used/Recycled Obijime and Obiage Set
This obijime and obiage set is recommended for semi-formal coordinates.
The round braided obijime is a deep, subdued reddish-purple.
It has a slightly unusual construction, divided into several parts, connected by gold thread like rubber bands!
The twisted tassels are also a recommended feature, as they won't fray and can be used beautifully for a long time.
The obiage is also a deep reddish-purple, but because shibori dyeing techniques are used, many parts appear whitish overall, giving it a slightly lighter impression than the obijime.
It has a pattern of floral motifs arranged in diagonal lines, giving it a very sleek impression.
It seems suitable not only for semi-formal kimonos such as houmongi, tsukesage, and iromuji, but also for pairing with furisode.
Both the obijime and obiage are 100% silk.
Although it is a new-old item, there is a lot of yellowing on the obiage, likely due to storage.
Thanks to the shibori processing and deep color, the yellowing is less noticeable, but please check the photos before purchasing.
As a recycled item, it is perfectly usable.
