Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This polyester han-haba obi is recommended for casual coordinates during the lined (awase) and unlined (hitoe) kimono seasons.
The base is a tasteful ocher-toned color (kincha-iro / golden brown) (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
The tip of the obi (tare-saki) features two rabbits against a full moon.
The midsection (onaka) is designed with a crescent moon.
This is a point-pattern han-haba obi.
We recommend obi knot styles where the end hangs downward.
It features a checkered pattern in a similar color scheme.
You could also wear it with this side as the main feature, playing with colors using obi clips or obi bands.
It is made with a wider width, making it especially recommended for taller customers.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain colored kimonos, komon, or tsumugi.
Both sides show signs of having been folded in half on the inner end (tesaki) side from previous wear.
Additionally, there are some wrinkles on the checkered side, around the area toward the tip from the middle.
Otherwise, the item is in good condition overall with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can be enjoyed thoroughly as a recycled piece.
