Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Second-hand/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi recommended for casual coordination during the lined (awase) and unlined (hitoe) kimono seasons.
The base is a pale purple (tanshisoku) (※refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten) featuring geometric patterns reminiscent of deconstructed hemp leaf designs.
The design is very stylish, with accents of dark reddish-purple and light gray scattered throughout.
The reverse side features a light gray (usuzumi-iro) (※refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten) base with a soft, rounded geometric pattern.
With plenty of both dark and light patterns scattered across it, this piece offers a strong presence despite its overall light color palette.
It is made with a wider width, making it especially recommended for taller customers.
This is a reversible obi where both sides have significantly different aesthetics.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain colored (muji), komon, or tsumugi kimono.
Both sides show signs of folding marks near the end (te-saki).
Additionally, there is a small brown stain on the white line near the tail end (tare-saki). It is somewhat obscured by the colored patterns nearby, but please check the photos before purchasing.
Other than that, it is in good overall condition with no noticeable stains, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled item.
The colors in the full-body photo are the most accurate, though they may vary slightly depending on your device.
