Features and Condition of the Half-Width Obi | Second-Hand/Recycled Half-Width Obi
This is a polyester half-width obi recommended for casual outfits during the unlined (hitoe) and lined (awase) kimono seasons.
The black side with a large checkered pattern features a "fukiyose" (autumn leaves and nuts blown together) motif.
Although many colors are used, they are coordinated in muted tones, giving it a chic impression.
The reverse side features small cherry blossoms scattered across a black background. With its soft reds and cream tones, it has a gentle and elegant look.
When worn with a decorative knot, it softens the overall impression when bits of this side peek through.
Please enjoy pairing it with solid-colored kimonos, komon, or tsumugi.
On both sides, there are signs of the obi having been folded in half at the end (tesaki). These are not very noticeable, but please check the photos before purchasing.
Otherwise, it is in good overall condition with no concerning stains, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled item.
The overall photo best represents the actual color, though it may vary slightly depending on your device.
