Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Used/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a thin, soft, polyester han-haba (half-width) obi—a classic yukata obi.
The base is a beautiful shimmering gold (*referencing the Teihon Japanese Color Dictionary) with a tatewaku (vertical wavy line) pattern in a lighter, whitish gold running down the center.
Although it is reversible, both sides feature the same pattern.
(The dark and light tones of the pattern are simply inverted.)
This is a single-layer obi, not a bag-style obi with separate front and lining fabrics.
Since it is made of polyester, you can wear it to summer festivals or casual meals without worrying too much about it getting dirty.
Because it is made with a wider width, it is especially recommended for taller customers.
There are some creases on both sides from where it was folded in half at the end used for tying.
Additionally, there is a small blue dot on the end of the lining side (the side with a whitish base). Depending on how you tie it, it may be hidden, but please check the photos before purchasing.
Other than that, it is in overall good condition with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can certainly be enjoyed as a recycled item.
The colors are closest to the full-view photo, but they may vary slightly depending on your device.
