Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a quintessential yukata sash: a thin, soft polyester han-haba obi.
It features a vibrant, vivid red (yo-ko-shoku/carmine) base (referenced from "The Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors") with a white cherry blossom silhouette design.
The pattern is sparse, with plenty of solid areas remaining, giving it a clean and uncluttered look.
While it could theoretically be used as a reversible piece, both sides feature the same pattern (with the intensity of the colors inverted).
It is a single-layered obi rather than a pouch-style construction with distinct front and back fabrics.
I personally feel that the more vibrant red side is intended to be the main side.
Because the color palette is simple, I highly recommend styling it with obidome (sash clips) or decorative obijime cords to add your own flair.
Made of polyester, you can wear it to summer festivals or casual dining without worrying too much about it getting dirty.
It is cut wider than average, so it is especially recommended for taller customers.
There are some overall wrinkles and a faint stain on the trailing end, but it is in perfectly enjoyable condition as a recycled item.
The overall photograph is closest to the actual color, though this may vary slightly depending on your device.
