Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a classic "yukata obi"—a thin, soft, polyester han-haba (half-width) obi.
The deep reddish-purple base features silhouettes of cherry blossoms dancing in the wind, rendered in a slightly orange-tinted white (shirneri-iro, as per the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
While it could potentially be worn as a reversible piece, the pattern is the same on both sides (with the intensity of the colors inverted).
It is not a bag-style obi with separate front and back fabrics, but rather a single layer of fabric,
so I feel the reddish-purple side is intended to be the main side.
Because it uses few colors, I highly recommend styling it with an obi-dome or decorative cord to add a playful touch.
Since the material is polyester, you can wear it to summer festivals or casual meals without worrying too much about it getting dirty.
It is made with a wider width, so it is especially recommended for taller customers.
There is a faint trace of a previous fold from where it was tied, starting slightly from the end.
Other than that, it is in overall good condition with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can be enjoyed thoroughly as a recycled item.
