Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This is a fukuro obi that is perfect for wearing with a Homongi, Tsukesage, or Iromuji for formal occasions.
The beige background is decorated with a fan pattern containing many auspicious motifs such as cranes, butterflies, horses, spools, inkstones, scrolls, pine and bamboo, chrysanthemums, cloisonne, bellflowers, and autumn leaves.
The plain parts actually have a wave pattern woven into them with gold thread, which gives off an elegant sheen as you move.
The pattern uses bright colors, making it an item that will add a sharp edge to a kimono with a soft feel.
It can be worn with both dark and light colored kimonos.
Since the colors of the pattern are quite bright, it may be a good idea to match the obi-jime with a softer color.
This is a bag-shaped obi that feels slightly heavy and has a firm texture.
There are traces of the lining around the waist where it was folded in half, but other than that there are no visible stains or noticeable dirt, so it is perfectly wearable and can be reused.
