Features and Condition of Men's Yukata｜New Men's Yukata
This is a new, ready-made shijira yukata for men.
It is a plain item in a subdued moss green (kiguro-iro) (refer to the Teihon: Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
The material is 100% cotton.
Shijira weaving has a creped (uneven) surface, which prevents it from sticking to the skin. It is also light and well-ventilated, making it a popular choice for summer kimonos.
While it generally falls under the category of summer kimonos, it can also be worn as a unlined kimono (hitoe) due to its opaque nature. It is also recommended to wear it as a yukata without a nagajuban (undergarment) during the height of summer.
It can be worn for an extended period, and like other cotton items, it can be hand-washed or machine-washed on a delicate cycle in a laundry net. This makes it an item you'll undoubtedly wear frequently as part of your everyday kimono wardrobe!
