This is a hand-painted lacquer obidome.
Makie is a technique developed in Japan in which gold, silver, or platinum powder is sprinkled onto black lacquer to depict the changing scenery of the seasons, such as flowers, birds, the moon, and the wind.
The design features paulownia trees against a deep black background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Encyclopedia).

This large obidome is elegant yet has a strong presence.
This is a casual obi fastener, and the width of the metal fitting is a little wide at 1.3 cm, so it will be more stable if you use a 4-quarter cord rather than a 3-quarter cord.
It is very convenient because you can use not only 3/4th cord or 3/4th cord, but also obijime with tassels on the end.
It is recommended to coordinate with fashionable clothing such as komon and tsumugi, as well as casual kimonos.
