Characteristics and condition of obidome | Used and recycled obidome
This stylish obidome features a plump acrylic resin design.
The abstract yellow flowers and arabesque patterns on a blue (deep indigo) background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) are very striking.
It looks like it will be a nice accent to a simple obi.
This is a casual obi fastener, and the width of the metal fitting is a little wide at 1.3 cm, so it will be more stable if you use a 4-quarter cord rather than a 3-quarter cord.
The yobun-himo is the same as the sanbun-himo, and is a special obi-jime for attaching an obi-dome.
It is thinner and finer than a normal obijime, and is also shorter in length.
Also, since there are no tassels on the ends, they do not get in the way when threading the obi-jime.
The combination of quarter-length obi cord and obidome is very convenient as it can be matched not only with kimono but also with yukata.
Enjoy wearing it with komon, tsumugi, or yukata.
