Features and Condition of the Iromuji Kimono
This is an iromuji (solid-colored) kimono in a refined reddish-brown (sabi-iro / rust color) (ref: "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten" / Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors) featuring a wave-patterned damask.
The woven pattern creates subtle shading and an elegant sheen depending on how the light hits it.
Pair it with a formal obi containing gold or silver threads for a glamorous look, or with a stylish dyed obi or shoha-ori weave for a completely different atmosphere.
By simply changing the obi and accessories to suit the occasion, you can wear this piece to a variety of places, including weddings, receptions, ceremonies, lessons, and theater performances.
There is yellowing and staining on the back of the collar, foundation stains on the collar, and black stains on the front, but as a recycled item, it is still very much usable. Please also refer to the product images for the condition.
