It is a plain, colored garment that can be worn in a variety of situations.
The kimono has a vermilion (Choshuun-iro) base color (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
Depending on the obi, it can be worn for a wide range of occasions, such as formal, casual, and tea party.
When wearing this for a formal occasion, pair it with a gorgeous fukuro obi sash made with gold and silver threads.
If you want to wear it as a casual outfit, you can also pair it with a Nagoya obi or a half-width obi with a accent pattern.
There are some stains on the inside of the left sleeve and lining, and creases on the left sleeve, hem, and right collar, but it is still perfectly usable as a reused item.
