Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a sha (gauze-weave) Nagoya obi, recommended for casual occasions.
It's a vibrant piece woven in a single, clear, strong vermilion (shinshu-iro) color (refer to Teihon Wairo Jiten, "Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors").
The Kenjo pattern runs the full length of the obi.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), tsumugi (pongee silk kimono), etc.
It features an open-ended finish and has a relatively firm texture.
Without an obi core, its sheerness provides a cool impression.
Overall, it is in good condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
However, there is a faint odor due to age. We kindly ask for your understanding and acknowledgment of this characteristic unique to recycled kimono when you welcome this item.
