Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This ro-weave Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
Made of polyester, it can be worn with peace of mind even on hot summer days when you perspire easily, or when dining out or on days when you are concerned about the weather.
It is a clean, simple item in a single shade of soft lemon yellow.
It features a woven Kenjo pattern.
It's perfect for enjoying with an obi dome (obi clasp)!
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), or tsumugi (pongee kimono).
It is tailored in a Nagoya-style finish.
What makes it slightly different from a typical Nagoya-style finish is that the taiko-patterned part has a tunnel finish (the edges are not sewn, providing good ventilation, making it perfect for summer items), and the part from the middle plain section to the front stomach is also folded in half without the edges sewn.
However, the edges are sewn up to about 30 cm from the te-saki (hand end), and about 15 cm from the triangular part at the top of the taiko, so it is difficult to widen the obi.
There is one clear storage crease in the middle plain section.
Other than that, the item is in good overall condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
