Characteristics and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a Ro Nagoya obi, perfect for semi-formal coordinates.
The design features striking red maple leaves on a pale blue (kamenozoki-iro) background (refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten).
It's a point-pattern obi, with golden maple leaves and slender silver leaves designed behind the red maple leaves on the taiko section.
On the belly section, there is a single red maple leaf.
It's a matsuba-jitate (pine-needle finish) obi, firm and light.
Enjoy pairing it with iromuji (solid-colored kimonos), komon (small-patterned kimonos), or light tsukesage (attached pattern kimonos).
The very end of the return fold (the outermost edge where the tare-saki is folded back, the triangular part that passes over the peak of the taiko) of this obi is not sewn. Both sides are edge-finished, so there is no problem with wearing it.
Also, there is a thread accumulation-like area on the triangular folded part above the taiko on the outer fabric.
Since the above two points are difficult to explain well in words, please confirm with the photos before purchasing.
There are some stains on the lining in places, but it is still perfectly usable as a recycled item.
The overall photo shows the closest color, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
