Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a sheer Nagoya obi, perfect for semi-formal coordinates.
The pattern features large leaves and round, berry-like shapes designed in pastel colors and silver on a warm white (creamy white) ground (refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten), giving it a gentle impression.
The pattern is placed as a point, with the otaiko (drum) and front belly sections having almost the same design.
It is a light obi with a firm stiffness, made in the matsuba仕立て (mat-leaf tailoring) style.
At over 380 cm, it is a longer-than-average Nagoya obi.
The otaiko part is intentionally left unstitching in a tunnel style (natsu-kagari), creating a stylish and cool impression.
Enjoy pairing it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), or light tsukesage (kimono with continuous patterns).
There are noticeable wearing wrinkles from the tesaki (hand-end) to above the otaiko.
Additionally, there are brown stains and blue dirt on the lining and the back of the otaiko.
These areas are not visible when worn, but please check the photos.
It is perfectly usable as a recycled item.
However, there is a slight dust-like odor.
Please be aware if you are sensitive to smells.
The overall color in the full-length photo is the closest, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
