Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a sheer Nagoya obi, recommended for casual occasions.
A beautiful item with a nice contrast between the slightly whitish, deep red (sai kō-iro, referring to the color "festive red," ※as per the Definitive Dictionary of Japanese Colors) ground and the white pattern.
It features a Kenjo pattern woven into the fabric.
The pattern is "zen-tsu" (full-length pattern) and it is tailored in the Nagoya style.
It is a lightweight yet sturdy item.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid color kimono), komon (small patterned kimono), or tsumugi (pongee silk kimono).
There are navy blue color transfer-like stains on the upper part of the taiko knot (the triangular part) and on the plain middle section.
While these parts would likely not be visible when worn, please check the photos for details.
Aside from that, the item is generally in good condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
The overall photograph provides the closest representation of the color, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
