Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used & Recycled Nagoya Obi
A sheer Nagoya obi recommended for casual occasions.
The main color is a deep blue (Berlin blue) (as referenced in the "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten" - Definitive Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
The pattern is a point pattern, with round, orange, berry-like fruits on the taiko portion.
The pattern on the front (hara) portion features the same berries, but with a stronger reddish-brown hue. Since the design is slightly different, you can enjoy two patterns by changing how you tie it.
It is made in the matsuba style, and the width can likely be adjusted somewhat to suit your height.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (kimono with small, repeating patterns), or tsumugi (pongee silk kimono).
The item is generally in good condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
However, there is a slight dusty odor that might be a concern.
Those sensitive to smells should take note.
