Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a sheer Nagoya obi, perfect for casual occasions.
The main color is a bright yet subdued brown (Chōji-iro) (※Refer to Teibon Wa no Iro Jiten).
It's a summer obi with beautiful sheerness.
The design, reminiscent of bush clover, is woven with threads of the same color as the ground, making it very simple.
Recommended for those who prefer a clean and uncluttered coordination, or those who enjoy playing with colors using obijime and obiage!
The pattern covers six areas, and it is a matsuba-jitate (pine needle tailored) obi.
It has a moderate firmness.
By intentionally leaving the otaiko (drum) part unsewn, in a tunnel style (natsu-kagari), a stylish and cool impression is created.
There is a clear crease from being folded in half around the waist, so it might be a bit difficult to adjust the width to your height.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid colored kimono), komon (small patterned kimono), or Tsumugi (pongee silk kimono).
Aside from the aforementioned crease around the waist, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, making it in good condition for a recycled item.
However, it has a slight dusty odor. Please be aware if you are sensitive to smells.
