Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a tsuzure-ori (tapestry weave) Nagoya obi, recommended for semi-formal coordination.
A beautiful item in a rather whitish, bright gold color.
The floral patterns used as accents are very colorful and boldly designed.
The front abdominal part features colorful Tang-style floral arabesques.
This creates a significantly different impression from the pattern on the taiko knot area.
This item is tailored in a Matsuba style, offering a lovely firm texture and lightness.
While Nagoya obi are usually worn with casual attire, tsuzure-ori obi are an exception.
They are considered to have a similar status to fukuro obi, and those that heavily feature gold and silver threads can even be worn with formal kimonos.
Having one of these coveted items is incredibly useful for a wide range of occasions, from celebrations to tea ceremonies.
Enjoy coordinating it with visiting kimonos, tsukesage, iromuji, omeshi, etc.
