Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a Ro (open-weave) Nagoya obi, recommended for casual occasions.
The main color is a subdued yellowish-green (Tsuginomidoriiro) (refer to the authorized "Japanese Color Dictionary").
It's a beautiful sheer summer obi.
The design features many woven floral patterns, including plump, round flowers reminiscent of globe chrysanthemums.
Green obis are quite rare, so perhaps someone out there is looking for one like this?
The pattern covers the entire length (zen-tsu), so even though it's a long piece, you shouldn't have trouble getting the main pattern to show.
It differs slightly from a typical Nagoya-style obi; while the body-wrap section is folded in half, a significant portion remains unstitched.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-color kimonos), komon (small-patterned kimonos), tsumugi (pongee kimonos), etc.
There are no noticeable stains or dirt, making it a very well-preserved item for a recycled product.
