Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a plant-dyed Nagoya obi, perfect for casual occasions.
It features a deep, subdued blue ground (Omeshi Onando-iro, like denim) (refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten) with a classic pattern stencil-dyed in ecru.
With few colors, it gives a calm impression.
Upon closer inspection, you'll notice patterns appearing here and there, where only the corners are dyed in a tone darker.
It's an obi that seems to invite playful color combinations with obi-jime and obi-age.
The pattern covers six areas (rokutsu) and it's a Nagoya仕立て (Nagoya tailoring).
It uses a soft, supple Tsumugi fabric.
Please coordinate it with Iromuji, Komon, Tsumugi, etc.
Both the front and back surfaces have some wrinkles and bulges from storage.
Also, although it's difficult to convey in photos, the obi core does not extend to the very tip of the tare (hanging end); about 1 cm from the tip is just the obi fabric. This does not particularly affect wearability, but we've noted it as a precaution.
Other than that, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, and it is perfectly usable as a recycled item.
The overall photo shows the color most accurately, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
