Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The main ground color is a deep, subdued reddish-purple (Shitan-iro) (Refer to Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten).
It is stencil-dyed with a landscape depicted using muted, dull blues, greens, mustards, and vermilions.
The pattern covers the entire length of the obi, giving it a somewhat retro feel.
Chirimen fabric is used for the lining of the obi.
It is very soft and has a limp texture, so it may be a little difficult for beginners to handle when dressing.
It is tailored in an open-ended style.
Like a fukuro obi, it can be folded and stored, which prevents unnecessary wrinkles. It can also be adjusted slightly in width to suit your height, making it recommended for taller individuals.
