Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba obi, recommended for casual outfits during the seasons for awase (lined) and hitoe (unlined) kimono.
The side with the beautiful brown hibiscus pattern features a background in a grayish tone mixed with brown (known as "dobunezuiro" or ditch-rat gray) (*referencing the standard "Dictionary of Japanese Colors").
Because the hibiscus, which is typically vibrant, is rendered in muted tones, the design is easy to coordinate.
The reverse side is a deep black tone (known as "fushikaneiro" or gallnut-iron black) (*referencing the standard "Dictionary of Japanese Colors").
When revealed through a decorative knot, it gives the overall appearance a sharp, polished look.
Please enjoy pairing this with solid-colored kimono (muji), komon, or tsumugi.
