Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This product is a fukuro obi recommended for casual outfits.
One of the great things about this item is that it can be used reversibly.
One side has a brown gradation background and shades of the same color for a clean look.
If you look closely, you'll see that the width and patterns of the horizontal stripes are slightly different, which is stylish.
The other side has a soft design with circles woven into a brown (burnt charcoal color) background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
Although it is simple, the colors and orientation of the circles are slightly different.
According to the weaver's number on the glasses mark on the leftover fabric, this is a product of Kano Yuki, a prestigious Nishijin company.
Kano Yuki's obi, which combines tradition and modernity in style, has attracted attention from overseas, and in 1987 (Showa 62), she was the first Japanese clothing to be featured in Vogue Paris.
We are also one of the few manufacturers with a full lineup of pure Nishijin fabrics, producing obi, kimonos, and accessories, with almost all of our production carried out in Nishijin.
Among them, obi is the starting point of Kano Yuki. Highly skilled craftsmen, high-quality thread, and machines suitable for weaving all meet all the requirements to produce wonderful works.
This obi can be worn with kimonos such as plain-colored, small patterned, and tsumugi kimonos.
The material is 90% silk, 10% rayon and polyester.
It is very thin, light and soft to the touch.
We also recommend the fact that the pattern runs all the way through.
It shows little signs of use, has no stains or dirt, and is perfectly wearable as a reused item.
The colour is closest to the overall photo, but may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
