This is a full-length obi made of authentic Ushiku Tsumugi silk. It features vertical stripes from brown to green to yellow, and a floral arabesque pattern woven into it.
Ushiku Tsumugi is a type of tsumugi that has been handed down in Ishikawa Prefecture for over 800 years and is designated as an intangible cultural property.
A unique process that incorporates air into the threads gives the fabric a very soft texture, but it is also a strong fabric, earning it the nickname "Nail-pulling Tsumugi."
Not only can it be worn with a komon or plain colored kimono, but it can also be worn with a tsukesage. Please enjoy a wide range of fashion.
The obi core is very thin and feels very soft to the touch. The length of the obi is 463 cm, which is long for a fukuro obi, so it may be a little difficult for petite customers to handle.
There are no stains or noticeable dirt, so it is perfectly wearable and can be reused.
