How to choose a kimono for Shichi-Go-San and shrine visits
Shichi-Go-San and Omiya-mairi are important milestone events that celebrate a child's healthy growth. While the child is the main focus of the ceremony, the parents and grandparents who accompany the child should also choose their attire with dignity and harmony in mind.
If you are accompanying your child, try to dress more modestly than them so that the overall look is balanced and you look beautiful in photos.
Generally, semi-formal attire such as Homongi, Tsukesage, and Iromuji are considered appropriate.

A slightly modest formal outfit
Homongi is a semi-formal kimono that can be worn by both married and unmarried people. It is recommended for formal occasions.

Solid-colored kimonos are also recommended.
If you think that Homongi is too flashy, we recommend a plain-colored kimono with a single crest. A plain-colored kimono with a ground pattern such as rinzu or a gradation is also good.

Not too luxurious, not too casual
It is preferable to wear a woven obi, but even dyed obi can be worn as long as it has an elegant feel. Even with woven obi, I think it is better to wear one that has a more subdued feel rather than one that emphasizes gold and silver.
