Fukuro Obi Features and Condition
This fukuro obi features seasonal flowers in a kiribame-style pattern on a subdued gray background (keshizuminezu-iro) (*refer to the standard Japanese Color Dictionary).
The phoenix mark (bird emblem) inside the end of the hanging sash is a registered trademark used by Shiroayuen Omote since its founding and was created with a phoenix as its motif.
Omote is known for its bold designs and color combinations that catch the eye.
Continuing to create distinctive designs, Omote produces a variety of obi suitable for many occasions, from relaxed tea ceremonies to outfits featuring tsumugi, iromuji, houmongi, tomesode, and furisode.
The mysterious charm of this obi is how exceptionally well it coordinates with tomesode.
It can also be coordinated with other kimono such as houmongi, tsukesage, iromuji, and komon.
A portion of the hanging sash has been unraveled to confirm the logo.
There are visible fold marks from being folded in half from the end of the sash to the front obi.
Additionally, there is a slightly pronounced crease where the pattern ends on the sash end, but there are no other noticeable stains or dirt, and it can be fully enjoyed as a pre-owned item.
