Features and Condition of the Fukuro Obi
This is a luxurious, substantial fukuro obi featuring pure gold leaf in a classic diamond pattern on a subdued gold-toned background.
The pure gold leaf is woven into the inside of the obi tail. (The edge stitching in that area has been undone, presumably for inspection.)
The diamond pattern features a colorful color scheme.
With plenty of solid-colored areas, this obi will create a very clean and elegant look when tied.
It is suitable for tomesode and furisode, as well as houmongi, tsukesage, and iromuji.
It can be worn to weddings, coming-of-age ceremonies, entrance and graduation ceremonies, and other formal events and parties.
This is a luxurious, substantial piece.
Both sides show signs of previous wear, with a fold from the obi hand to the middle of the tail, a solid-colored center, and creases at the top of the taiko pattern. The closure on one side is partially unraveled.
This is a piece that can be fully enjoyed as a pre-owned item, but please also check the product images to assess its condition.
