Features and Condition of the Half-Width Obi
This is a brand-new, polyester half-width obi, recommended for casual outfits.
The bright reddish-brown side (Kogare-iro, per the "Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors") features a checkered pattern.
It creates a light and gentle impression with two repeating patterns: one with white dots and another with woven outlines of cherry blossoms on a solid background.
The reverse side is a distinct, deep ocher (Oudo-iro, per the "Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors").
It features woven silhouettes of small cherry blossoms, with some parts rendered in a slightly lighter shade.
Since it can be used like a solid-colored obi, it is perfect for playing with colors using obi clips or ornaments.
The contrast between the front and back is beautiful, making it a great choice for decorative knots that show off both sides.
Another recommended point is that because the two sides have such different looks, you can create two distinct styles with just one obi.
