Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba obi recommended for casual outfits during the unlined (hitoe) and lined (awase) kimono seasons.
This piece is by [Komusa de Mode].
There is a tag on the inside of the tail end.
On a light gray background (sobakiri-iro, a buckwheat-noodle color) (*see "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten"), there are dark brown stripes and lines of iris-like flowers.
The design is clean, with a beautiful contrast between the background color and the pattern.
The reverse side is a deep reddish-brown (tame-iro, a puddle color) (*see "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten").
The background features a checkered pattern with white cherry blossoms scattered throughout.
Since the look of the two sides is quite different, one of the highlights of this obi is that you can create two styles of outfits with just this one piece.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain colored kimonos (muji), komon, or tsumugi.
On the striped side, in addition to folding creases from storage, there is a distinct fold mark on the leading end.
Also, on the checkered side, there is a stain-like area where the color is slightly darker on the leading end.

Otherwise, this is a piece in good condition with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled item.
