Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi recommended for casual coordinates during the lined (awase) and unlined (hitoe) kimono seasons.
It is a warm-toned piece featuring a muted orange-based color (biwa-cha, or loquat tea color) (*referencing the standard Japanese Color Dictionary) background with white snow crystal and cherry blossom designs.
The reverse side is a pinkish-brown (bengara-iro, or iron oxide red) (*referencing the standard Japanese Color Dictionary).
The color matches that of the small cherry blossom petals on the front, creating a beautiful sense of unity.
It also features a subtle woven pattern, so depending on your coordination, you could potentially wear this side facing out as the main focus.
As it is made slightly wider than standard, it is especially recommended for taller customers.
Please enjoy pairing it with solid-colored (muji), komon, or tsumugi kimonos.
Both sides show faint creases from being folded in half near the ends due to previous wear.
