Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi, recommended for casual coordination during both the awase (lined) and hitoe (unlined) kimono seasons.
It features a sophisticated design with a pale grey base (light mouse-grey) (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors) adorned with scattered purple cherry blossoms.
Upon closer inspection, you can also see faint cherry blossom and Genji-ko incense patterns.
The reverse side is a shade darker in grey (ash grey) than the front (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
When revealed through a decorative knot, this darker tone adds a nice contrast to the soft atmosphere of the front side.
Since it has a subtle woven pattern, you could even style it with this side facing out depending on your coordination.
It is made wider than standard, making it especially recommended for taller individuals.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain-colored kimonos, komon, or tsumugi.
There are faint traces of it having been folded in half at both the leading and trailing ends.
Other than that, it is in excellent overall condition with no noticeable stains or blemishes, and can be enjoyed fully as a recycled item.
