Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi recommended for casual coordination during the unlined and lined kimono seasons.
It features a stylish design with a contrast between black and a muted yellow hue (yellow acorn color (kitsurubami-iro)) (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
The side with black as the primary color features thick stripes. Thick stripes of solid black alternate with stripes of a black and yellow checkered pattern.
The reverse side is primarily a muted yellow (yellow acorn color (kitsurubami-iro)) (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors). It is covered in cherry blossom petals, with brighter petals scattered here and there as accents.
Since the same colors are used on both sides, it maintains a sense of unity even when a glimpse is shown through decorative knots.
This is a convenient "two-in-one" obi where both sides can be worn as the main side.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain-colored kimono, komon, or tsumugi.
There is one spot on the cherry blossom side where some brown threads are bunched together like a knot.
If you are concerned about small details, please check the photos before purchasing.
Other than that, it is in overall good condition with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled item.
