Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Used/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi, recommended for casual coordination during the lined (awase) and unlined (hitoe) kimono seasons.
It features a small checkered pattern in dark brown (Kenpo-cha, a traditional color) and a lighter brown (Karakane-iro, a traditional color).
There is a stylish English-letter tag on the end of the obi. To highlight this, we recommend an obi-tying style where the end hangs straight down.
The reverse side features a muted orange tone (Kuwairo-shiracha, a traditional color) as the primary color, with a wave pattern designed in dark brown.
The vivid vermilion lines running throughout the entire piece are very striking.
Additionally, the center of the obi features a flower design that looks as if it were crafted from mizuhiki cord.
It would be lovely to tie the obi so that this flower is slightly off-center.
You could also have fun arranging it so that an obi-dome (sash clip) sits within the flower design.
Because it is made with a wider width, it is especially recommended for taller customers.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain colored (iro-muji), komon, or tsumugi kimonos.
The piece is in good condition overall with no noticeable stains or blemishes, and it can be enjoyed thoroughly as a recycled item.
