Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a han-haba obi recommended for casual outfits during the unlined (hitoe) and lined (awase) kimono seasons.
An item in the style of Hakata weave.
It features thin stripes on a subdued ochre base (kareno-iro, a withered field color) (*refer to the Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors).
Between the stripes are designs of dokko and hanazara patterns, as well as lattice and hanabishi diamond patterns.
The lattice pattern sections are reddish-brown, giving it a soft, slightly warm atmosphere.
The reverse side follows the same basic color scheme for the background.
The lattice sections are based in dark brown, creating a slightly cooler impression.
Also, because this side has more striped and solid-colored areas, it has an overall cleaner, more refined look.
Please enjoy pairing this with solid-colored kimonos, komon, or tsumugi.
There is a fairly noticeable storage odor remaining.
Other than that, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, and it can be fully enjoyed as a recycled item; however, please be aware of this if you are sensitive to odors or looking for perfection.
