Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Pre-owned/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a polyester han-haba (half-width) obi, recommended for casual outfits during the seasons for awase (lined) and hitoe (unlined) kimonos.
One side features a pale purple base (Tansho color) (refer to the standard "Dictionary of Japanese Colors") with a large gold pattern resembling feathers or leaves. Because the pattern is very large, it is surprisingly easy for those with a petite build to wear.
The other side has a light gray base (Sohaku color) (refer to the standard "Dictionary of Japanese Colors") featuring a grapevine arabesque pattern in a matching shade.
This is a reversible obi with a very soft and pale atmosphere on both sides.
It is made with a wider width, so it is especially recommended for taller customers.
Please enjoy pairing it with plain-colored kimonos, komon, or tsumugi.
There are folding marks from previous wear on the folded-over ends (tesaki) on both sides.
Additionally, there is a small hole near the end of the lining (tare-saki) that looks like a tag mark from a price tag.
Depending on how you tie it, it may not be noticeable, but please check the photos before purchasing.
Other than that, it is in overall good condition with no noticeable stains, and you can fully enjoy it as a recycled item.
