Features and Condition of the Han-haba Obi | Used/Recycled Han-haba Obi
This is a han-haba obi recommended for casual outfits during the seasons for awase (lined) and hitoe (unlined) kimono.
The colorful, slightly grayish ground color evokes the image of hydrangeas.
It features a beautiful, soft blend of yellow-green, blue, and reddish-purple.
Over this, there is a regular pattern of white circles with centers dyed in red.
Perhaps this is intended to evoke the look of shibori-dyed hikita patterns.
The lining is a slightly muted, bright pink tone.
Since the front side uses mostly cool tones, the lining adds a touch of brightness when tied in decorative styles.
The obi core is on the firm side, yet it does not feel stiff to the touch.
While there is a name written on the closed end, the item is otherwise in overall good condition with no noticeable stains or blemishes, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled piece.
