Characteristics and condition of Hanhaba obi | Second-hand and recycled Hanhaba obi
This is a yukata obi, a half-width obi made of thin and soft polyester material.
It is a very simple pattern with several horizontal lines of different widths in a slightly darker color on a soft vermilion (kobai-iro) background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
The simple design makes the obidome stand out, and this kind of pattern actually looks good when tied.
Although it is reversible, both sides have the same pattern.
(The dark and light patterns are reversed.)
It is not a bag-like obi with an outer and inner lining, but a single piece of obi.
The material is polyester, so you can wear it to summer festivals or casual meals without worrying too much about getting it dirty.
There are no stains or dirt, so this is a product that can be fully enjoyed as a reused item.
The overall color is closest to what you see in the photo, but it may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
