Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This is a bag-shaped obi made by Shiraayaen Obata, recommended for formal outfits.
Butterflies and floral patterns are woven into a brown (orange) background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
The phoenix mark (bird mark) is a registered trademark that Hakuryoen Ohba has used since its founding, and was created with the phoenix motif.
Obata's work is characterized by bold designs and color schemes that catch the viewer's eye.
They continue to produce unique designs, and make obi for a variety of occasions, from the more casual tea ceremony kimono to tsumugi, plain-colored kimono, formal kimono, tomesode, and furisode.
This obi can be worn with furisode, tomesode, houmongi, tsukesage, iro-muji, and komon kimonos.
There are some creases from wear on the front and back from the tips of the fingers to the drum-shaped areas, but there are no stains or dirt, so it is perfectly wearable and can be reused.
The overall color is closest to what you see in the photo, but please note that it may look different depending on the device you are using.
