This product is a Nagoya obi that can be used in casual situations.
The background is cream (off-white) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) with accent patterns of plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, snowflakes, and moon.
This obi is woven using a technique called scooping weaving.
The scooping weaving is very similar to the tsuzure weaving, but it has a more sheer finish. The shuttle through which the weft threads are passed is used to scoop up the warp threads and weave the pattern according to the sketch placed under the warp threads, resulting in a lighter and softer obi fabric.
Please wear it with small patterns, plain colors, tsumugi, etc.
This obi has creases on the fingertips, a stain on the front of the lining, a stain on the drum, discoloration on the ears of the drum, and discoloration on the ears of the hanging part. It is still in good condition as a reused item. Please check before purchasing.
