Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi

This is a fukuro obi (sash) made by Tei Kobo, recommended for casual wear.

An abstract floral pattern is woven on a brown (plum grey) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) background.

It's hard to convey in a photograph, but when light hits it, a gentle yellow gold glow emerges from deep within.

This mask has the feel of being able to be worn with plain-colored, small patterns, and tsumugi, as well as light tsukesage.

This obi is reversible so you can use the other side as well.

The other side is a chrysanthemum cloisonné pattern, with a chrysanthemum design within the cloisonné pattern.

Please wear it with plain colors, small patterns, or tsumugi.

If you are a fan, you will immediately recognize at a glance that this is an obi made by Weaving Studio Kanae, a manufacturer in Nishijin, Kyoto that mainly produces obi made of vertical brocade.

At Kanae, we believe that the quality of the thread determines the quality of the product, and for the warp threads we use 100% A5 rank Brataku thread, which is said to be the world's finest silk thread.

Speaking of tsutsugi, it slides well vertically and barely moves horizontally. In other words, it is easy to tighten the obi and it is hard to come undone once tied. It is one of the most useful obi for kimono lovers.

One of the characteristics of Keishinki is that its beautiful patterns and colors appear not only on the front but also on the back.

In addition, since there are no threads on the back, the fabric is smooth, allowing you to enjoy the natural texture and luster of silk.

Since it does not use decorative weft threads (weft threads that create patterns), it is light, and because it is a warp weave, it is easy to tighten and does not wrinkle easily.

This calm and elegant Tate Nishiki can be enjoyed in an outfit that easily blends into modern life, from traditional tea ceremonies to modern kimono settings.

There are no visible stains or dirt, so it is perfectly wearable and can be reused.

The colour is closest to what you see in the overall photo, but it may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.

Please note that there is no quality label, so we do not know the content percentage, etc.
