This product is a bag-shaped obi made by Shiraayaen Oba and recommended for casual occasions.
The colorful geometric pattern sandwiched between a gradation of green (gray-green) to brown (cinnamon) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Encyclopedia) is stylish.
The phoenix mark (bird mark) visible on the inside of the tape is a registered trademark that Hakuryoen Ohba has used since its founding, and was created with the phoenix as its motif.
Obata's work is characterized by bold designs and color schemes that catch the viewer's eye.
They continue to produce unique designs, and make obi for a variety of occasions, from the more casual tea ceremony kimono to tsumugi, plain-colored kimono, formal kimono, tomesode, and furisode.
This obi can be worn with plain-colored, small patterned, or tsumugi kimono.
This is one of the most versatile obi that can be coordinated with a wide range of outfits, such as pairing it with a plain kimono to make it the focal point, or with kimonos with classic patterns or a modern feel.
There is some dirt on the back of the kimono, but it is still in good condition as a reused item. Please check before purchasing.
